Während eines Spaziergangs bin ich heute an meinem Lieblings-Waschsalon vorbeigegangen. (Ich schaue dort schon seit Tagen rein, ob ich nicht vor dieser tollen Kulisse mal ein tolles Portrait finde.) Davor stand ein Herr, der mich um Hilfe fragte. Zum Dank las er mir aus der Hand. Und dann erzählte er mir seine Lebensgeschichte: von seiner Zeit in Italien, als dress man bei Triumph und als Dolmetscher beim Film. Er war einfach ein wunderbarer und interessanter Gesprächspartner, der Romy Schneider kurz treffen durfte und ganz sicher die 70er gerockt hat. Und Tito, danke für den Trick mit dem Runterzählen von 3. Das werde ich mir für die nächsten Portraits merken!
While strolling around I passed by my favorite launderette – I always peek inside hoping to find a great portrait in this great scene. A man was standing in front of it and asked me for help. He was reading my palm in return and then started telling me about his whole life: of his time in Italy, as a dress man at Triumph and as a translator on some movie sets. Tito was just a wonderful and very interesting person to talk to, who met Romy Schneider shortly and who surely rocked the 70ies. And Tito, thanks a lot for the trick with the countdown from 3. I will remember it for the next portraits I do.
