Immer auf der Suche nach coolen Dads, stand ich heute an der Kasse vor Maximilian Laprell! Ein Schauspieler und derzeit ein echter “Stay at home” dad, der sich gerade mit der Mama gemeinsam Elternzeit genommen hat. Damit haben beide Zeit für den kleinen Nachwuchs und den Großen, der sein erstes Jahr in der Schule angefangen hat im September.
“Warum Elternzeit? Weil ich diese Zeit mit meinen Kindern erleben möchte. Wir sind immer viel unterwegs und da bleibt nicht immer genug Zeit. Ich bin Schauspieler – mache TV Produktionen, Theater und Werbespots – und dadurch bin ich manchmal für eine Zeit komplett weg. Früher war es dann einfach in den Pausen dazwischen, einfach alle zu packen und in den Urlaub abzuhauen Jetzt geht das mit der Schule nicht mehr so gut. Jetzt muss ich versuchen, meine Engagements um die Schulferien zu bauen. Ein spannendes Unterfangen.
Der Große hat sich am Anfang doch ein bisschen schwer getan in der Schule. Er geht auf eine Ganztagsschule und auch wenn sie jeden Tag Sport haben: das Rumsitzen und Stillhalten ist nicht sein Ding. Inzwischen hat er sich schon daran gewöhnt, aber am Anfang war es hart. Ich bin sehr froh, dass wir ihn nicht mit 6 eingeschult haben. Er war ein Kann-Kind und das war die beste Entscheidung!”
Maximilian spielte gerade König Gunther in den Niebelungen GOLD und hatte eine Rolle in Polizeiruf 110: Smoke on the Water
Always on the lookout for some cool dads, I had the pleasure of standing in front of Maximilian Laprell at the cash desk. A great actor and a real “Stay at home” dad who has taken “Elternzeit” (paternal leave) with the mama together. This time they are enjoying together with the new baby and the big boy who just started school in September.
“Why paternal leave? Because like this we can spend time together and enjoy the kids. We are usually always on the run and there is just not enough time. I am an actor – for TV productions, theater and commercials – and therefore I am sometimes completely gone for my kids. Before it was easier to just use the breaks in between and take all of them to some great vacation. This is almost impossible now with the big one in school. Now I have to arrange my time around the vacation times of the school – quite a big challenge sometimes.
The school start for the big one was not so easy going. He is in a school till 4 o’clock and even if the have sport every day: the sitting and being quite is not his thing. In the meantime he arranged himself around that but the beginning was really hard. I am so happy we did not send him to school with 6. We had the choice and this was a good decision!”
