“Die Leute sind doch nicht bereit, für Soziales Geld auszugeben. Jeder will immer reicher und reicher werden, aber keiner will Geld für etwas bezahlen. Wir haben in unserem anderen Laden Grusskarten, die einen Euro mehr als die aus China kosten, weil sie handgedruckt sind. Das wollen die Leute nicht bezahlen. Es ist unglaublich, was ich mir da alles anhören muss! Aber danach dann für ein Wochenende nach Barcelona fliegen.
Ich weiss, was es heisst, hart zu arbeiten. Ich racker und rackere und rackere gerade. Ich schlafe maximal 5 Stunden jede Nacht. Aber dieser Buchladen ist ein Stück Demokratie. Das machen sich viele gar nicht bewusst!”
Dieses Interview wurde mit einer der Besitzerinnen des Buchladens Wortwahl geführt. Hier haben wir schon mal den DJ getroffen, der die beste Platten-Sammlung der 90er Jahre zu Hause bei sich hat.
“People are not willing to pay for social projects anymore. Everybody wants to become richer and richer, but they are not willing to pay for anything. We have some cards in our other shop. They cost round about 1 EUR more than the one from China because they are printed by hand. But you will not believe what you hear form people – they do not want to pay for it. But next weekend they fly to Barcelona!
I know what it means to work hard. I am working, working, working right now. I sleep maximum 5 hours a night. But this book shop is a piece of democracy. But not many people realize this.”
This interview has been taken place with the owner of the bookstore Wortwahl in Reichenbachstraße. We also met here the DJ with the best record collection of the 90ies!
