“Vor einigen Jahren habe ich erfahren, dass ich Brustkrebs hatte. Ich habe nicht geweint und wusste, dass ich für meine Kinder jetzt kämpfen muss.Ich habe 4 Kinder und meine Kleinste war gerade erst 8 Jahre alt. Ich habe es überstanden und habe auch den zweiten Befall überlebt. Gerade nehme ich allerdings wieder Medikamente. Ich bin so froh, dass ich hier lebe und dass ich gut versichert bin und dass es uns gut genug geht. Ich komme eigentlich aus Afghanistan, aber wir haben dort nicht in Armut gelebt. Ich komme aus einer mittelständischen Familie und hier ist es kein Luxus für uns. Aber überall, in allen Ländern – hier oder dort – gibt es Menschen, die sich es nicht leisten können, so gut zu leben, wie wir, und dafür bin sehr dankbar.”

“A few years ago I learned that I have breast cancer. I didn’t cry and I knew I have to fight for my kids now. I have four kids and my little one was only 8 years at that time. I have overcome this one and I survived the second attack. Currently I am back on medication. I am so glad I am living here, that I am properly insured and that we are living well. Originally I am from Afghanistan but we did not live in poverty there. I come from a middle class family and this is not luxury how we live here. But everywhere, in all countries – here and there – there are people how can not afford such a life and I am more than thankful for that.”
