“Ich bin jetzt 69 Jahre und arbeite hier am Sendlinger Tor als Aufpasser an der U-Bahn. Paralell versuche ich mir ein zweite Standbein als Energieberater aufzubauen und ich gebe Nachhilfe-Unterricht in Mathe und Physik. Ich habe bei BMW mit einer Werkzeugmacher-Lehre begonnen, hab dann doch noch studiert. Ich hab dann weiter als Dipl-Ing. TU bei BMW gearbeitet und einige Jahre dann auch als Patentanwalt. Insgesamt habe ich 43 Jahre bei BWM gearbeitet.
Einige sagen, ich soll endlich zur Ruhe kommen, aber mir macht es Spaß und ich habe Sorge, dass ich verfalle. So ist es mir lieber.”
“I am 69 years old and I am working here at Senglinger Tor as overseer at the subway. In parallel I am working on my second mainstay as a energy consultant and I offer private tutoring for maths and physics. I have started with BWM as a toolmaker and studied later. I continued working for BWM as a Dipl. Ing (graduated mechanical engineer) and later as a patent attorney. All in all I worked 43 years for BWM.
Some people say I should retire finally but I have so much fun doing this and I worry to loose it. I like it better this way.”
