“Ich leite eine Krippe und Bandit wird ab Montag ein pädagogischer Begleithund. Ich freue mich schon sehr darauf, bin aber auch schon sehr gespannt. Der Träger der Krippe war von Anfang an positiv gestimmt und stehen voll dahinter. Sie überlegen sogar, das auch für die anderen Filialen zu übernehmen, wenn das gut mit Bandit klappt.
Von den 25 Kindern in der Gruppe sind ungefähr 6 Kinder noch nicht sehr begeistert – zwei haben sogar richtig Angst vor Hunden. Aber alle Eltern haben die Idee auch unterstützt – sogar eine Mutter, die selber total Angst hat vor Kindern. Sie wünscht sich, dass ihr Kind ohne diese Angst aufwächst, denn sie weiss, dass sie total irrational ist. Selber aber kann sie es nicht durchbrechen. Da werden wir mal sehen, wie wir das mit Bandit ändern können.
Natürlich darf er nicht überall hin aus hygienischen und Gründen der Sicherheit. Aber so können die Kinder auch lernen, die Grenzen des Hundes zu respektieren dass der Hund auch nicht immer spielen möchte: wenn er auf der Decke im Büro liegt, dann hat er sich zurückgezogen und sie müssen respektieren, dass er dann nicht mehr spielen möchte.”
Das scheint ja wirklich eine tolle Krippe zu sein und ein toller Träger, der solche Ideen unterstützt: Wichtelakademie an der Implerstraße
“I am the leading a child care and bandit will support me starting Monday as a pedagogic companion dog. I am really looking forward to it but I am also wondering how it will be. The carrier company of this child care was always very positive and supportive about it. The even consider doing it in more subsidiaries if it is working well with Bandit.
Out of the 25 kids we have 6 are not very happy about it – two even have deep fears of dogs. But all parents supported the idea – even the mother who is completely panicking if it comes to dogs. But she hopes that her kid can grow up without the same fears of hers because she knows it is completely irrational. But she can not break through this on her own. We will see how Bandit will be able to help with this.
Bandit is not allowed to go everywhere in the childcare of course – for reasons of hygiene and security. But this is how the kids will also learn to respect the boundaries of the dog as well and that the dog does not want to play all the time: if he is lying on his blanket in the office they will be taught that this is his retreat and that they have to respect that he does not want to play now.”
